Heavy duty geared roller conveyor used for transport metal sheets for a cutting plasma machine.
The conveyor is fitted with hidraulic shock absorbers.
Due to the high loads the conveyor has been fixed to the concrete using 500 mm chemical anchors.
The system was designed to convey metal sheets with the sizes (Length x width x thickness) 480 inches - (12200 mm) x 96 inches (2440 mm) x 1.25 inches (32 mm), 240 inches (6100 mm) x 96 inches (2440 mm) x 2.5 inches (63.5 mm), 240 inches (6100 mm) x 96 inches (2440 mm) x 4 inches (102 mm) and it includes:
Driving system
Driving the rollers is made (for each segment) from the worm gear box through a roller chain type 12B-1 and a sprocket for chain 12B-1. The system is driven from roller to roller by using a roller chain type 12B-1 and double simplex sprockets with z= 13 teeth.
